Unique in Thailand and only found at GranMonte, Verdelho is Portuguese-originated and rare in other parts of the world. The variety showed great potential in our experimental vineyard after the first planting in 2005. We have then expended into two commercial blocks of Verdelho. The vines are now 8 years-old and GranMonte is proud to be the first grower and only producer of Verdelho in Thailand. Hand-harvested at optimum ripeness in the cool February at 24°Brix for juicy flavours and natural acidity and vinified in stainless steel to preserve the aromatics.

The wine is generously layered with a burst of tropical fruit, white flowers, pink guava and banana lollies. On the palate, the wine reveals ripe papaya and white pepper. This wine is aromatic yet full-bodied, luscious with dry palate and long lingering finish.

From a very limited production, this Verdelho 2016 is a true collector’s item.
